White and Bright
1. Procedure Overview
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure designed to bleach stains on the surface of the teeth. It will not alter the natural enamel color and is only effective on surface stains. The process involves the application of peroxide gel to the teeth, which is then accelerated with a lamp. Teeth whitening is not beneficial for stains or discoloration inside the tooth enamel.
2. Exclusions
Teeth whitening treatments are not intended to lighten the following:
Artificial teeth, Caps, Crowns, Veneers
Porcelain, Composite, and Other restorative materials
Teeth with the following conditions may not lighten and are usually best treated with non-bleaching alternatives:
Multiple fillings, Cavities, Chips, Cracks
Teeth with the following conditions may not whiten effectively or may require multiple treatments:
Multiple colorations, Bands, Splotches, Dark shadows due to tetracycline use
White spots due to Fluorosis, Teeth with a dead nerve
3. Results Disclaimer
The results of the whitening treatment are not guaranteed and will vary from person to person.
4. Technician and Treatment Disclaimer
While the technician administering the treatment has been trained in the proper use of the in-office whitening system, they are not a dental practitioner. The treatment is not without risks, which may include but are not limited to:
Blisters, Tooth sensitivity or discomfort, Fluorosis enhancement, Gum irritation
5. Sensitivity and Potential Complications
Some tooth sensitivity post-treatment is normal and typically lasts only a few days. However, the following conditions may increase sensitivity or prolong its duration:

6. Contraindications
This procedure should not be administered if you:

Dark-colored liquids (coffee, tea, dark soda), Tobacco products, Mustard or ketchup
Red wine, Soy sauce, Berries, Berry pie, Red sauces like tomato sauce
The results of the whitening treatment are not intended to be permanent, and repeat treatments may be necessary to maintain the desired whitening effect.

Dark-colored liquids (coffee, tea, dark soda), Tobacco products, Mustard or ketchup
